INTRODUCING THE 5TH ANNUAL BIOTECHNOLOGY PRESENTATION

With the Upper House (11th and 12th grade classes) kicking off another busy Winter Intersession, the 9th graders are hard at work, getting their presentations ready to share to their parents what they are doing in ISM 9.

What is the Biotechnology Presentation?

The event was made to show what the freshmen of Frank McCourt have been studying. Each student gets to be put in groups, and study on one topic that is given by the teachers. In previous years, this took place the same day as the FMHS EXPO; where the Upper House shows off what they’ve been working on during Intersession. After working hard on each presentation, the students then share their results with families and friends. Last years topic revolved around GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). Students researched what were GMOs, and whether they supported, or didn’t support it. Guests where then asked what they learned, and if they think GMOs are a good idea.
